Senior Frontend Developer
WooMe.com is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join a fun team based in central London (Soho). Your focus will be on frontend development, design and usability.

You must be experienced building high performance consumer web apps, with a focus on social networking, communities and live communications – chat, voice and video comms. You must have worked on a site with an active user base of more than 1 million users, and have a strong grounding in usability design and testing your designs with focus groups and live users. You need to have a passion for open source code (.NET need not apply) and love working in a high-pressure startup environment.

MUST haves:

Minimum 4-5 years of CSS / HTML / JavaScript (jquery) experience

XSLT

Experience building BIG, high performance web apps

Photoshop / Illustrator (for mocking up proofs / visuals)

Very desirable experience:

Graphic art / design background: creating icons / virtual gifts

Creation of Banner Ads / Animated Banners

Familiarity with Django / Python / Hg (Mercurial)

You should be used to working in a high-pressure, fast turnaround environment. You should not be looking for a 9-5 office job, but rather a challenging environment where you will be given a lot of freedom and responsibility. You will also be working with both the London and Los Angeles teams.
You will have worked at a top consumer Internet company, like Google, Facebook, Skype, Last.fm or Yahoo (most of the current have this kind of background).
A very attractive salary and stock options are available for the right candidate. WooMe has a flexible home or office working policy, with most of the team splitting their time 50 / 50 working from home and the central London office.
