Seeking Designer for Django Web Application Project

The Role
We are looking for a talented designer to assist us in enhancing the aesthetics of our Django-powered web application.

The Project
The ClaimExchange web application allows users to search for and display insurance-related information. In the development of this application, we strive to maintain the following goals:

• Highly relevant information for each user type
• Easy and intuitive to use
• Aesthetically pleasing
• Safe and secure
• Fast loading / quick UI responsiveness

Scope
We are looking primarily for beautification of the web application, including but not limited to enhanced HTML, CSS, and image assets. We will also entertain proposals for user interface / usability enhancement if a compelling value proposition is presented.

Desired Attributes

• Creative, visionary thinking
• Experience with design for web applications
• Familiarity with Django templates and views
• Experience with agile iterative development, web frameworks, and MVC/MTV development patterns
• Solid front-end user interface design knowledge; standards-based web design
• Experience with revision control software
• Javascript skills (particularly jQuery) would be a bonus
• Interest in learning new skills and technologies; ability to learn quickly
• Mac OS X / Unix / Linux adeptness preferred
