Python/Django Developer (Telecommute)

PixBuffer Software is looking for Python developers with experience on web application development and a minimum of one year of experience in Django. This is a part-time position, we are looking for contractors who will be working from home. We will accept candidates living anywhere in the world. Responsibilities: * Implementation and maintenance of web applications written in Python and Django. Database will be PostgreSQL and we use jQuery as our standard Javascript library * This position involves working on a range of small and medium size projects of custom Django applications of a variety of domains. Some projects might be entirely new, others involve maintenance of existing code base Qualifications: * Good SQL knowledge and databases, PostgreSQL is a plus * Strong XHTML, CSS and Javascript skills, hands on experience with jQuery is a big plus * Experience using version control software, Git is a plus * Excellent command of the English language and good communication skills * Good understanding of good code practices and standards. We also expect that you follow PEP-8 style guide and use tools like Pyflakes and Pylint very often * Easy-going personality.
