I am writing in search of web developers for a contract with Gnarwhal Game Studios, Inc. working on the newest product for the Humans Vs Zombies game, HvZ Plus.
Humans Vs Zombies is a moderated game of tag that is currently taking over the nation one university at a time. Learn more at humansvszombies.org. Setting up a game can be time consuming, however, we have released game engine systems (some even opensource) to assist in managing the game.
Plus is a more advanced rebuild of the HvZ game engine with a strong emphasis on social networking. This would include a leader board and stats for each player, along with a player profile with additional information. It is currently being built using Django and the Pinax platform.
We are looking for developers and designers to help us accomplish our goals. Candidates should be fun, innovative, self motivated, and passionate about designing user-friendly software.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in AJAX, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience with web design and usability
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Python and/or Django
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to balance priorities and take deadlines seriously
- Pinax experience
- JQuery experience
- Ruby experience/knowledge (no ruby coding needed, just an understanding)
- Your resume
- Links to or attachments of example Django code
- Live, working examples of several Django sites you’ve helped develop
- Your expected (hourly) compensation
