Django Developer - eCommerce site (Sydney)

We are experiencing phenomenal growth in a very short space of time and we have a fantastic opportunity for a django developer to join our team working on our eCommerce web application.

Essential skills:
• Passion for web development and excellent understanding of web development principles and relevant standards.
• Computer science degree or similar.
• Minimum 1-2 years web development experience.
• Excellent knowledge HTML/CSS/Javascript.
• Experience with Python development.
• Experience with Django framework development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL database servers.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Experience with subversion source control management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies.

Desirable skills:
• Experience with eCommerce web applications.
• Experience with payment gateways.
• Experience with creating horizontally scalable systems.
• Experience with basic Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience with social media API’s.


This is a junior to mid-level role; remuneration is dependant on experience. Consideration will also be given to individuals with exceptional web development skills who are willing to learn Python/Django development.
